About us
Hi, I am Maureen Kist I have been breeding Shih Tzus for 30 plus years. I first fell in love with the breed when my husband bought me my first Shih Tzu. Now I run a circus not an ordinary circus a Shih Tzu circus AZ. I don’t do this alone I have my daughter that helps with the majority of our circus. Helping with delivery to the time our Shih Tzu babies go to their new homes.
Hi, I am Arianna Kist I am the other half of Shih Tzu circus AZ from updating the website, to taking puppy pictures, posting videos and pictures on our Instagram account, our page on Gooddog. Also posting on our Facebook page. I make sure the mom’s and puppies are taken care of. Running this Shih Tzu circus is not easy but it sure is a lot of fun.
Our Breeding Program
Our breeding program is very unique. When you come out to see our shih tzu babies, it’s a family affair. You will be greeted by Mom, Dad, Aunties, Cousins, and Grandmas. We asked that everyone that comes to visit to remove their shoes or wear shoe booties also hand sanitizer to a sure the safety of our shih tzu babies. At 6 weeks you are welcomed to come out and visit your shih tzu baby. We take our time with everyone that buys one of our shih tzus. Before your new shih tzu goes home with you, we have you visit multiple times. We do not guarantee size, or color, shih tzus are known for changing colors.
Our mammas always get an x ray before they deliver, we make sure we know how many little shih tzu babies we are expecting. Our mammas don’t delivery by themselves, we are with them during the early stages of labor until the end of delivery. We are the first hands that touch them. Then at 8 weeks they get their first vet check and their first shot. Also, at 8 weeks they have free play time to run around until they tire themselves out. They are used to being in a play pen when they are not out running around. We have in our contract that if you are unable to keep the shih tzu anytime throughout its life must be returned back to me. Had a bad experience that ended up with one of our little ones in the pound, we got him back he is ours forever. You will get to meet him when you come out his name is Two Rue.
Another thing to consider is when house training if you are planning to use a doggy door make sure you have some sort of run or if you plan to take them outside make sure you are keeping an eye on them. Between hawks, bob cats, mountain lions, coyotes, howls, it’s always important to check before you let your little one outside. Always pay attention to your little furbaby while they are outside. Make sure that you have something with you to protect yourself if anything should happen.
